Dead Villagers

The best villager is a... okay, maybe only raiding goblins think so, but if you have "good" murder hoboes in your party, there's nothing like a village raid to force, or at least get, the PCs doing something. I found that, at least as terrain, flesh is easier to paint as dead than for living characters. Flesh paint (even brushed-on flesh colored primer), a light brown wash, and maybe a thin line of brown. Paint clothing various browns (the only color villagers can afford), and ochre any rope belts, the basket, etc. Besides outskirts, a villager on a forlorn dark forest path should be an interesting mystery...
